    EasyChef is operated by Stefan Ahetz-Etcheber (ABN 56 749 445 049), trading as EasyChef, located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 1. Who We Are

EasyChef is a digital marketplace platform connecting restaurants and hospitality venues with kitchen staff for casual shift work on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Our platform is available via the EasyChef iOS app and website at easychef.carrd.co.

EasyChef is strictly an 18+ platform. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information when you register and use EasyChef:

Identity information: Full name, profile photo (optional)
Contact information: Email address, phone number
Professional information (kitchen staff): Job role, years of experience, location (suburb), CV/resume (optional)
Business information (restaurants): Restaurant name, location
Usage data: Shifts posted, shifts accepted, shift history, app activity
Device information: Device type, operating system, app version

We do not currently collect payment information directly. Any future payment processing will be handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, subject to their own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

To create and manage your account on the EasyChef platform
To connect restaurants with kitchen staff based on role, availability, and location
To send notifications about shifts, confirmations, and platform updates
To improve the EasyChef platform and user experience
To comply with our legal obligations under Australian law
To investigate and resolve disputes between users

4. How We Share Your Information

EasyChef does not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

With other users: When a shift is confirmed, the restaurant receives the kitchen staff member's name and phone number, and vice versa, to facilitate the engagement
With service providers: We use Supabase (database hosting) to store your data securely. Supabase servers are located in Sydney, Australia
With authorities: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers located in Sydney, Australia. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers
Row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data
Secure authentication managed by Supabase Auth

While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your EasyChef account.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct any inaccurate or outdated personal information
Delete your account and associated personal data
Complain about a breach of your privacy rights

8. Children's Privacy

EasyChef is strictly an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately suspend their account and delete their data. EasyChef uses the following third-party services which may process your data:

Supabase — Database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
Apple App Store — App distribution (Privacy Policy)
Expo / React Native — Mobile app framework

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via the app or by email. Your continued use of EasyChef after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent update.
